Lake Pepin
The Mississippi getting wide between Lake City and Wisconsin. Not a kettle lake. A river that decided to be a room for a while.
Usual suspects: Walleye, Sauger, White bass, Lake sturgeon, Catfish
Lake Pepin is Pool 4 of the Mississippi doing its big-water impression — a naturally wide stretch between Minnesota and Wisconsin, with Lake City on the west bank and Pepin, Wisconsin, looking across like a cousin who brought a different license.
This is current, barges, bluffs, and fish that think in river. Walleye and sauger, white bass, catfish, and sturgeon if you are the kind of person who reads the regulations twice. We are not inventing a wingdam meeting. Bring current rules and a plan. Real notes go in Reports.
What’s happening
We are watching the calendar. Nothing on the books for this water that we can stand behind. When a real lake day shows up, it will land here — not a daydream with a date slapped on it. See all of Events.
